1. It’s official I have survived my first week in OKC.

2. Loving People’s Church. Great people and great vision. Excited about the future.

3. Took the family to bricktown and found out that my Campus Pastor Tome Dawson from LifeChurch.tv was in town so we all met for dinner. Tome and his family have been an amazing blessing to Mandy and I. So honored to know him and count him as a friend.

4. Our community pastor, Shane Hood, brought some cookies by that his wife made and they were gone in less than 24 hours. Love me some cookies.

5. Getting to know a lot of great people, especially the staff and volunteers of People’s Church. A few of them are in to twitter like me so I’m liking that. I’ll have to do a #followfriday of everybody.

6. It has been both challenging and rewarding getting back into the swing of things as far as ministry goes. Kid’s ministry is a whole nutha animal. We had 709 kids and volunteers just within kid’s ministry today. Definitely dependent upon God, but that is a great place to be.

7. Sunday we celebrated the official Grand Opening of the renovations and additions to the People’s Church building. Had a lot of guests including Craig Groeschel and News Channel 9. Check out an article here.

8. Thursday was my day off and I missed a lot of excitement at the church. Apparently our lobby flooded during a torrential downpour. Thankfully everything was in working order for the weekend.
